I have been back from my Granny Aupair-stay in Switzerland for a week now. I immediately had a good rapport with "my" family and the stay was wonderful.
The family invited me to fantastic trips, see photos.
The Grabnny Aupair adventure was a total success!

Hello dear Mrs Hansen and team,

I just want to send a few words from Cincinnati.
It is a huge adjustment but a lovely one.

I have to drive big cars here and with automatic (what else here in America?) But if there are no other problems!
It is quite a challenge, but it also is a huge lot of fun.

One holiday follows the othere: Halloween, St. Martin's in the German community and then Thanksgiving, St. Nikolaus, the whole advent time and Christmas - there is always something going on and there are also two birthday parties in the pipeline.

When we have managed all parties and holidays it will be time to pack again!

Hello,

I am flying to Dubai again tomorrow and am returning shortly before Christmas.

In Dubai I am staying with the D. family. There I look after Noah, who is now six years old and started school in September.  Noah leaves home every morning at 6.45 and returns at around 15.45. Mostly he returns very hungry and I already cooked for him or had something prepared. After that we read a bit, wrote and did maths, then we went down to the park. There he met friends and they played together. 2x a week he went to Baseball for an hour. Nicole, Noah's mother returned at around 18:30 from the office and we made supper together or went out for dinner. At 20:00 was time for Noah to go to bed. 

At the weekends we always went on excursions: We were at the zoo, at the beach, shopping or travelled to Abu Dhabi or in another country of the Emirates.

As  I have a lot of leisure time I do trips on my own and explore Dubai.

In the  house we have a large pool on the rooftop and below it a gym with sauna etc. I sped at least an hour there every morning and feel like newly born afterwards.

I find it very enrichting that I can support the family and am very happy that I could build a very friendly relationship with Nicole. The husband works in Riad and only comes to visit irregularly at the weekends, so that Nicole, Noah and I spend a lot of time together.

I am looking forward to landing in Dubai again on Friday morning!

Hello dear Granny Aupair-team,

Many greetings from Shanghai, the "Paris of the East".
With great pleasure I am now moving into this for us totally foreign world, this time for six months, excluding the Christmas holidays.
Shanghai is worth more than ONE trip.

This city is quicksilver, exciting, modern and old.

It has an abundance of faces, loud and silent, clean and dirty, poor and rich.
Plus murderous traffic with a thousand honking two wheelers and if one as a pedestrian has understood that a green light does not mean " safe crossing" at all, you stop jumping in fright all the time.
The Chinese people are hardly to be surpassed in their amiability and their willingness to help.
The ceremony of a buddhist temple service is an uncomparable experience-

I am also totally overwhelmed by the Pudong skyline, especially in the evening when the lights go on. I have never seen anything more beautiful.
And to see the Formula 1 Grand Prix up close I just had to travel to Shanghai....

Sophia is now in class 3 in the German School in Pudong.
She has developed really well and has become even more independent. We have a lot of fund together and are now a good team.
When I flew home in May with smiles and tears I was sure that I would return one day.

ANd now I am here again and totally happy-

What you have "caused" with your website is absolutely priceless.
