Greetings from the state of New Jersey.
I am now with the R. family in M., as the previous Granny broke her hip whilst ice skating.

I have been with my "family" in Les Estables for over a month now and am very content. The only thing that gets on my nerves from time to time is the totally neurotic tom cat, who practically helped me to a black eye yesterday. That goodness nothing worse happened!
To be a Granny Aupair has changed and enriched my life so much, that I can only thank Mrs Hansen and her whole team for this wonderful idea. You will hardly believe it, but about 10 minutes after the renewed activation of my account I already had a contact. And I will probably be going to the Cayman Islands in April for half a year.
The last time, I also became a member for half a year and found my family after one week. I wanted to stay there 3 months, which turned into nearly three years.

On June 24th I flew to the K. family in Texas. The family is nice and it is harmonious. It is a big adjustment for me, but I wanted to get to know other ways of life. My job is to look after two kids. Lucas is three years old, Josie two. There are enough air conditioned play grounds and I am often out and about with the car. On my free day one of the cars is put at my disposal. I have been to the NASA , in Houston, in the museum and to an old farm (museum).

The three months in Mexico passed much too quickly. The B. family in Puebla is a really lovely host family. From the first day of my stay I had the feeling that we have known each other for ages and in the first mails and skypes it was very congenial.

Family from the USA: “It has been a great experience so far. We have had several Grannies over the last two years, and two of them have come back for a second stay. The children are really happy when a Granny comes again. We also had a "Granny Reunion" in Frankfurt in July this year with our family, my mother, and four grannies. It was wonderful to see all of them together!“

After I had to cancel my flight date to Canada, I spontaneously contacted a family in Seoul. This then also worked out spontaneously, and I flew to South Korea. I had to realize that South Korea is a very special country and worth the journey.
The culture is totally different and the people there are very friendly and courteous. Even if one does not know the language: you can manage everything with hands, feet, whatever it takes. Thus I have also got to know this country and am totally open for further trips.

Following various contacts with different families, I felt quite close to two families emotionally. Finally I decided following my “gut feeling “and travelled to the USA for three months to a suburb of Boston on the east coast.
From the first meeting at the airport with the two small children and their mother it was totally clear: We suit eachother.
A short time after my becoming a member at Granny Aupair I discovered a family in Ireland on the website. As Ireland is my “dream destination” I hoped to hear from this family. Shortly afterwards I received a query from the family if I would like to look after their twins, two 20 month year old boys for three months. After a long phone call with Andreas, their father, I was sure that I would like to go to the family in Dublin.
