Today we would like to give you a few tips to ensure that your expectations as Granny Aupair are met as far as possible.

The profiles of the family will give you a lot of information. For example, if you don't want so much hubbub around you, then a family with three small children and possibly pets is probably not for you. It's better then to look for families with one (older) child.

It is very important to make exact arrangements in advance. Before you finally decide on a family, talk to them about your working hours, free time, any pocket money and other things that are important to you. The better informed you are at the start of your time as a Granny Aupair, the better protected you will be against unpleasant surprises. Also remember: the families are relying on you and cancellations at short notice will cause them major problems.

Prepare yourself for the country you are travelling to. As they say, different countries have different customs.

Today we would like to introduce you to three of our families who would like to be supported by a loving temporary grandma in the near future or a little later.

On the beautiful St. Lawrence River

More than a thousand green islands can be found in the St. Lawrence River lined with a picturesque landscape and with beautiful historic villages waiting to be discovered.

In the Canadian province of Ontario, between the famous river and the capital Ottawa, you can find the small town of Kemptville.  As from the beginning of January a family of four (user name Jenn Rory) with two sons (11 and 1) plus a cat are looking forward to their next loving Granny Aupair for a four week stay, who can give the mother, who has some health problems, a hand.

It would be nice if the Granny is also interested in gardening or cooking. The older son goes to school until the afternoon, the little one is still at home. A nice room in a spacious house with huge garden, pool and hot tub in a rural environment is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

New York State: In the Heart of the Catskill Mountains

Nestled between the highest peaks of the Catskill Mountains and the green Hudson River Valley, picturesque Greene County is just two hours north of New York City and three hours west of Boston. 

In the scenic town of East Jewett, a small Swedish-American family with baby girl Morgan and a cat (user name Maria.m), is looking for support from a loving, baby-experienced Granny Aupair who would also help a bit with the household as from Mid-January. Both mothers work work from home part of the time, so one of them is almost always on site.

A nice room with private bathroom in a big house in a rural environment is waiting for the Granny. Travel costs will be covered in full.

Between New York and Luxembourg 

Castles, mountains, a lively capital and a wonderful wine country! Luxembourg in the centre of Europe has a little bit of everything. Or would you like to visit the exciting Big Apple with all its marvellous sights?

A small family with the user name Bacina21 (mum with son, 2, and a baby from June), who commutes between New York and Luxembourg, would soon like to welcome a loving, experienced temorary granny, who also enjoys cooking, as a new family member.

A nice room in a large flat in Luxembourg or in a house in New York is waiting for Granny. Travel expenses will be fully covered.
