Dear Ladies,

Many of our families have to go without grandparents but would love to benefit from the experiences of the older generation. Children who are cared for by “temporary” grandparents, build up a similar relationship to them as to “normal” grandparents. And the “older generation” also often feel very close to the families, with friendships often blossoming.

Seize the chance to outdo yourself, by substituting the grandparents at young families. Due to your help, the children can experience and learn something totally different than from their parents, for instance old rhymes and songs or delicious recipes and crafts.

Today we introduce you to three families from our long list of families, who are urgently looking forward to support by a loving “temporary” Granny soon. In our newsletter we always present only some selected families from our list. Just take a look at our website.

Emerald Isle

 

Beautiful coast line, old castles, picturesque hill landscape and exciting towns. This is all on offer in county Londonderry in East Northern Ireland: Near the historical town of Maghera this family of five (user name: donna.murphy) is longing for a experienced temporary Granny, who is fond of children to come to them soon. The date of arrival must not necessarily be October, but could also be possible as from January for instance.

As the youngest child (1) has Down’s Syndrome, the Mummy would be really happy about a pair of helping hands, to occupy the two other children (6 and 3) so that she can take care of the youngest’s stimulation. The Mum is at home at the moment, so the Granny, who should have a driving license, would have a lot of time to explore the lovely surroundings.

A small self-contained flat in a large house in rural surroundings is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Between Mountains and Mediterranean

 

Near the “pink city” of Toulouse and only 1,5 hours away from the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean, the small town of Pibrac can be found. Due to ist vicinity to Spain the Midi-Pyrenees region has a southern atmosphere in the midst of outstanding sights. Here a German-French family of six (user name Florence Petit) with three boys (15, 13 and 8) and a girl (6) is looking for a lively and open temporary Granny as from mid-November, to support them with the home work of little Jérémy and Noémi for instance, who go to the German School. The children go to school until 16:30 every day except Wednesday, so the Granny would have enough time to visit a language course or explore. A lovely room in a large house on the outskirts is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Birthplace of the Renaissance

Art, culture, sightseeing, galleries and museums and some of the greatest treasures in the world. Fantastic food and wine - you can find all this in Florence. And if you grow weary of museums and monuments, head outdoors to spend a day in the Boboli Gardens for instance or take a trip in the surrounding Tuscan countryside. A family of four (user name franny22) with two small girls (4 and 2) is looking forward to their English speaking Granny Aupair as from the beginning of January. The two girls go to nursery school until 16:30, so the Granny would have enough time to discover all the treasures Florence has on offer. The family would like a Granny who speaks English and plays with the girls in the afternoon when they return from nursery school. A nice room in a large flat on the outskirts is available for the Granny.

Do not be irritated if the arrival date in the family profiles is in the past! Some families just simply "forget" to change the date in their profile  (which can also happen with Grannies), but are still urgently looking for a Granny. Please contact all the families you are interested in.
