"Quite honestly, I did not feel all too well at the beginning and was even homesick. I knew I would have to keep going and in effect after five days I felt very much better and at last had the feeling of having arrived. My twelve colleagues in the guest house also played a large part in contributing to this. I am really fine here in Jodhpur. I don’t regret it for a single day to have come here and taken this time out. I am hale and hearty and to my astonishment haven’t had any signs of 'Delhi Belly' up to now. We receive full board here and fresh food is cooked daily, with the food taste varying. Normally us colleagues eat out on Friday evening and at the weekends. If possible, we try to go on trips at the weekend within Rajasthan and thus I have already seen a lot of very beautiful and impressive sights.

I live here in a very simple room with bathroom, but my shower - as in nearly every room – isn’t working and we have to 'shower' under the tap.- With the advantage that the bath is cleaned after that…. The flush also isn’t working properly so we have to add water from a pail. Naturally it was a bit difficult in the beginning, especially the 'showering' and hair washing in view of the cold, but I also have got used to this in the meanwhile and I certainly won’t be fussy, when I’ve returned.“
