„Unfortunately the three months I was able to spend in this fascinating country, with its loveable inhabitants and the friendly Susann and daughter Fannie are nearly over. It was an interesting experience to live in a country for a while, whose alphabet you don’t understand (I already experienced this in China – but as a ‘guided tourist’!), whose language you don’t speak to begin with, but that can be acquired, especially as many natives speak English quite well. Life here is relatively simple and it brings to mind how privileged we live here in Germany. A breakdown of electricity, gas or internet is not unusual. The whole family has taken us up as belonging to their own family and we were spoilt with Georgian delicacies. You see, I really felt well with my small family!
