Dear Ladies,

Anyone who thinks that life after 60 is all about knitting and watching TV couldn't be more mistaken. There is so much more to every Granny: life experience, warmth, a great sense of humour and, above all, a genuine zest for life.

Baby boomers bring a wealth of qualities to the table – from experience and patience to strong social skills. Our Grannies are remarkable women who are firmly grounded, full of energy and far from ready to fade into the background.

Whether as a caring childminder, a compassionate companion for older adults, a creative language tutor or simply a worldly and enriching addition to a family, Granny Aupairs make a real difference. They bring people together, lend a helping hand where it is needed and enrich the lives of families around the world.

Today, we would like to introduce a few families who are looking forward to welcoming a loving temporary Granny or companion into their homes as a valued source of support and companionship. You can find many more families on our online community

The magic of the Emerald Isle

The lush green countryside of ‘Thoroughbred County’ characterises the Irish region of Kildare in the east of the island, just outside Dublin. Added to this are many magnificent buildings and beautiful gardens.

In the historic village of Allen, situated between Kildare and Newbridge, a German-Irish family (username YBu) with two children (a 2-year-old girl and a newborn baby boy) are looking to welcome a loving temporary grandma who is experienced with young children– and who might also enjoy cooking.

Both parents work from home.  Little Ailbhe has a slight developmental delay but does not require medical support.

The Granny will be provided with a lovely, spacious room with a private bathroom in a spacious house  in a rural setting. Travel expenses will be covered in part.

Between Peaks and Beaches on the US-East Coast

From the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the pristine beaches of the Outer Banks,the US-State of North Caroline has a myriad of landscapes on offer.

Situated in Sandhills County, the small town of Sanford with its historic streets can be found in the midst of North Carolina’s beautiful rolling landscape.

Here a small family of soon to be five (user name rlettieri) with boy, 5, girl 3 and a baby expected in December, plus dog, would love to welcome a loving, experienced Granny Aupair, to give the parents a hand. Both children go to pre-school and kindergarten until the afternoon, so the Granny would have enough time to explore the beautiful surroundings and/or visit a language course.

A nice room in a large house in a rural area is waiting fort he Granny. The travel costs will be covered completely.
