Newsletter Grannies - Baby Boomers : Full of Energy and Spirit of Adventure
Dear Grannies,
The Baby Boomer generation (born between 1946 and 1964) has shaped the world in countless ways – and is still brimming with energy and a spirit of adventure. Many of you belong to this generation and bring with you a wealth of valuable experience and skills that make you the perfect Granny Aupair.
With your rich life and professional experience, Baby Boomers are wonderfully equipped to support young families in a wide range of situations. You have already navigated many of life’s challenges and can offer practical advice and hands-on help that truly makes a difference.
Today, many Baby Boomers are retired or have recently completed their careers. This gives them the freedom to embrace new adventures and explore the world. Whether for a few weeks or several months – whether supporting a family, as a companion to the elderly, or participating in a social project – Granny Aupair offers numerous exciting possibilities.
If you are a Baby Boomer (or part of the generation that follows) and want to discover the world, take a look at the list of families in our online community. Below, we introduce two families who would love to welcome a warm-hearted temporary grandma – either soon or at a later date.
Best wishes from
Your Michaela Hansen and Your Granny Aupair-Team
Natural paradise on the coast of Brittany
The town of Baden, near the historic city of Vannes on the Gulf of Morbihan in Brittany, is located in the south of the French region and is beautifully situated between land and sea.
Starting in June, a small family with a now three-month-old daughter (user name NicoCam) and a golden retriever is looking for a loving, experienced, open-minded temporary grandmother with a driving licence, preferably for a longer period.
Little Madeleine will be at nursery during the day, so the Granny will have plenty of time to explore the beautiful area and/or visit a language course.
A lovely room in a spacious house on the outskirts of the town will be provided for the Granny. Travel expenses will be covered in part.

Traditional Swiss Valley
The charming municipality of Oberburg is located in the canton of Bern in the beautiful Emmental Valley region. Nearby is the capital city of Bern with its UNESCO-listed old town, numerous small shops and great cultural diversity.
As soon as possible, a small family of doctors (user name Laurenz) with a 7-year-old son would like to welcome a loving, patient and reliable temporary grandmother who also enjoys cooking as a new member of the family, preferably for a longer period of time. Little Laurenz goes to school until 4 p.m. on two days and until 1 p.m. on the other days, so the Granny would have plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings.
The Granny will have her own cosy three-room loft flat in the family's large house. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

Don't focus so much on the countries, but rather on the people you will be living with.
The more flexible you are, the quicker you can say: I'm off!
