Newsletter Grannies - Grannies wanted near and far – for more than 15 years
Dear Grannies,
Whether in Europe or overseas, Granny Aupair has been connecting adventurous women with families all over the world for more than 15 years.
Countless wonderful stories — and often lifelong friendships — have grown from these encounters.
As a Granny Aupair, you experience new places, cultures and people in a way that goes far beyond what a typical tourist would see. Host families gain an experienced, warm-hearted companion who is so much more than just an extra pair of hands.
Whether caring lovingly for the children or lending support in daily life, a Granny brings life experience, calmness and warmth to the home.
This way, travelling often turns into meaningful connections that last well beyond the stay with the host family.
Below we are introducing you to three families from near and far who are looking for a loving temporary grandma in the near future.
Very best wishes from
Your Michaela Hansen and Your Granny Aupair-Team
Fiesta Mexicana
In the centre of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,200 m in a basin surrounded by gigantic mountain ranges, you can find the country's capital, Mexico City. The ‘sun of Mexico’, enriched with a huge cultural diversity, is considered a mega-city, and yet each ‘colonia’ has its own characteristics, like a small village.
Here, a very granny-experienced international German-Peruvian family of five (username Yuriza) with a 17-year-old son and two daughters (14 and 12) are looking for their next flexible experienced temporary grandma, who also enjoys cooking, from mid-August. The children go to school until 16:00, so the Granny would have enough time to attend a language course and/or explore the exciting neighbourhood.
The Granny's help would be needed mainly in the mornings and late afternoons mostly to prepare meals and help with homework, as well as on Saturdays.
A large room with a private bathroom in a spacious house on the outskirts of the city awaits the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

Historic town in south-west Germany
The historic city of Aachen, with its beautiful old town and impressive cathedral, lies in the border triangle between Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. With its winding alleyways and historic monuments, Germany’s westernmost city has a charm all of its own. Not far away, right on the Belgian border and on the edge of the northern Eifel region, is the small town of Roetgen.
Here, a family of doctors (username Britta M.) with three children (two sons aged 14 and 12, and a six-year-old daughter) — along with their chickens, would be delighted to welcome an experienced, reliable and flexible temporary ‘Granny’ with a driving licence. Ideally, she should enjoy cooking and feel confident driving an automatic car. The mother has been seriously ill for six years and finds it increasingly difficult to manage the household alone. A cleaner and someone to help with laundry and shopping are already in place.
The children attend school until the afternoon and then need some extra support, especially Tilda, the youngest. The Granny will have her own spacious living area with a private bathroom in a large house set in a rural environment. All travel expenses will be covered.

Culture and Nature in Lower Austria
Mountains, lakes, picturesque towns and villages and vinyards - all this awaits you in Lower Austria. The small village of Thomasberg in midst of unspoiled landscapes offers many leisure opportunities and is also near the historic town of Neunkirchen.
Here a small family (user name christina_sch.) with a one year old daughter plus dog is looking forward to a (dog) friendly, loving, experienced Granny Aupair with a driving license as from the beginning of October. The little girl is still at home.
A large room with private bath in a big house in a rural setting is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.
