Dear Reader, dear Grannies,

Granny Aupairs are not only welcomed for childcare, there are also families or individuals on our online community who are specifically looking for a companion. Be it for themselves or for a family member.

There are many tasks for Grannies as companions, e.g:

• Companionship for older people with roots in another country. Sharing memories of a childhood and youth. Bringing buried language and cultural identity back to life.
• Everyday help and/or travel companionship for people with disabilities. For example our Grannies can help people whoare not able to walk well or have poor eyesight. As an everyday companion, they enable mobility.
• Or simply as a companion to accompany someone through life, with conversation, joint walks, concert visits and much more.

Below we present two ladies who are looking for a companion in the near future. Maybe this could be something for you? In addition to these offers, many families on our online community are looking for a good soul to give them a hand with advice and support, with childcare or for companionship.

Natural Paradise in South-West Germany

The small municipality of Gerstetten is located in the middle of nature in the so-called Heidenheim Brenz region in eastern Baden-Württemberg, near Ulm. The landscape has been shaped over millions of years and nowhere else in the Swabian Jura  the traces of the earth's history can be seen so clearly. Phenomena of the karst landscape can be discovered as well as sparkling rivers, forests and heathland.

Here a 71-year-old widowed lady (user name Weisspfote) is looking for a fit, music-loving companion who can also speak English well, preferably from the beginning of December.  The former nursery school teacher loves hiking, going to concerts and would love to brush up her English in conversation.

The Granny will be provided with a nice room in a house in a rural area. Travelling expenses will be covered in part.

Bavarian metropolis and Alpine charme

The town of Ismaning, located near the Bavarian capital, offers a wide range of leisure activities. Just a stone's throw from the Alps, there are plenty of recreational areas to discover nearby. Munich, with its many sights, can be reached in no time at all.

Here a 78-year-old lady (user name Heide46) with a dog would like to welcome a practical companion with a driving licence who also maybe enjoys cooking. The former property manager is very interested in culture and loves gardening. The Granny would have her own large area with her own bathroom in a spacious house in the city centre. Travelling expenses will be covered  in part.
