Newsletter Grannies - Bridge between generations
Dear Reader, dear Grannies,
In our modern, fast-paced world, we often miss something that we used to take for granted: our grandparents. The warmth, understanding and wisdom they bring to our lives are irreplaceable. But what if, for example, the family lives far away or the grandparents are no longer alive? This is exactly where Granny Aupair comes in - as a bridge between generations that gives families and (temporary) Grannies a new chance to share time together and learn from each other.
There are so many benefits to young and old living together that go beyond the simply functional. Multi-generational households give children the chance to benefit from the life experience of their elders and learn about traditions that might otherwise be forgotten.
The Granny Aupair idea is not just a programme, but a project of the heart: it not only promotes exchange, but also helps to preserve traditions and cultural knowledge. For families, the programme often means relief in everyday life and the opportunity to see their children grow up in an cherishing environment. For the Grannies, it is a wonderful opportunity to stay active, discover new cultures and environments and immerse themselves in the role that is close to their hearts.
Below we are introducing you to two families who would like to live under the same roof as a Granny Aupair soon or next year. Many more families who are looking for support can be found on our online community.
The very best wishes from
Your Michaela Hansen and your Granny Aupair-Team

As from March, a small Italian-American family (username lburns731) with a currently one-year-old daughter and a dog is looking for their next experienced, dynamic temporary Granny to provide some support for the parents. Ideally, the Granny should also speak some Italian or Spanish.
A separate flat with kitchen and bathroom next to the family's spacious house on the outskirts of the city awaits the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

Our tips:
The best thing is to be inspired by all the offers! Don't pay so much attention to the individual country. Ultimately, the people you go to are more important. Once you have made a contact request, you need to be patient. It often takes a few days or even weeks for families to get back to you. The families are very busy or may collect a few enquiries before responding.
