Dear Reader, dear Grannies,
Summer has just really upped it’s ante again this year! And now that the hot season is coming to an end and the days are getting shorter again, many families are looking for loving support from an experienced temporary grandma for the stressful time of back to school and kindergarten.
With a Granny Aupair, children can experience and learn something completely different as from their parents, such as old rhymes and songs or great baking recipes and handicrafts. Studies also show, for example, that the more time grandparents spend with their (temporary) grandchildren, the more expansive the children’s vocabulary becomes.
Here we want to introduce you to two families who would like a pair of helping hands in the near future or next year. In addition to these, you can find many other families from around the world on our online community who are waiting for their good soul who can support them with their life experience and expertise.

South Danish Baltic Sea
The small town of Padborg is situated on the Danish side of the German-Danish border near the Baltic Sea and not far from the charming city of Flensburg on the German side.
Here a small family (widowed father and 12 year old son) and the user name Juergen are looking for support from a seasoned, experienced Granny Aupair with a driving licence, ideally for a longer period. The family also includes two older children, who are largely independent, and a dog. The children all go to school in the morning, after which Tom, the youngest son, needs some supervision.
A large room in a spacious house in a rural setting awaits the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

Spain: Between Mountains and Sea
Snow-capped mountain peaks, towns steeped in history and the option of a quick swim in the sea after hiking - the Spanish region of Sierra Nevada in Andalusia has a lot to offer.
In the small town of Mairena at the ‘gateway’ to the Alpujarra mountain region, a Granny-experienced German-Portuguese family of four plus dog (user name Sven St.) is looking for a loving, baby-experienced, nature-loving temporary granny with a driving licence for two-year-old Kiaan and his little sister (then almost a year old) from the end of March 2025. The little boy attends kindergarten until 14:00.
A good knowledge of English would also be welcome as the family language is English. A nice large room in a spacious house in a rural setting is available for the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

It is very important that the relationship is based on mutual trust and not on an employment contract. The host family and temporary Granny should discuss the expected tasks together.
When getting to know each other for the first time on our portal, you should therefore clearly state your own expectations and ask about things you are uncertain of, e.g. about working hours, exact tasks, daily routine.
