Newsletter Grannies - Mother’s Day and soon maybe Granny Aupair Day
Dear Reader, dear Grannies,
Mother‘s Day is celebrated around the world on different days. While Mother’s Day in Great Britain and Egypt is celebrated in March, the Argentinian Mothers are feted in October. For many countries, amongst them Germany, United States, Australia, Belgium and Japan, the special day for mothers is held on the second Sunday in May – this year on May 12th.
All around the world this special day honoring mothers and naturally also grandmothers has one thing in common: the most important thing is to spend time with your loved ones.
Unfortunately, for many families, the grandparents are far away or sometimes no longer alive. Granny Aupair helps to fill this gap, so that children whose grandparents live far away or perhaps are no longer alive have an experienced childcarer on hand to give the parents some relief. Here we are introducing you to two families who are looking forward to having a loving temporary grandmother as a new family member in the near future or later in the year.
In addition to these families, there are many other families from all over the world waiting for their loving Granny Aupair. You can find them on our online community.
Wishing you a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Due to recent occurences, we would like to make another urgent request:
Please consider carefully whether you are physically and mentally up to the challenge of being a Granny Aupair (possibly in a completely foreign country).
The families rely on you and it is of course very unpleasant for both sides if the Granny leaves after a short time and thus causes major problems for the family. Discuss in advance exactly what is expected of you in detail.
