Dear Reader, dear Grannies,

More than 50 per cent of our families and Grannies are now loyal repeaters. Since Granny Aupair was founded more than 14 years ago, many long-standing friendships have developed between the temporary Grannies and "their" families. Various families have already welcomed two, three or even more Granny Aupairs into their homes and are always happy to make use of our service.

Both sides benefit from the offer: the Granny can offer good advice for many situations and helps out with her time, while the families provide the concentrated expertise of a younger generation and show the Granny life in a different environment or culture. The exchange is lively and fruitful and enriches both sides.

Currently around 80 families from all over the world are looking for a loving temporary Granny to support them with help and advice, even for later in the year! We are introducing three of them below.

Big Sky State 

A vast picturesque landscape, charming small towns with genuine local colour and spectacular, unspoiled nature: the Big Sky US state of Montana has it all. In the Jefferson Valley in the south-east of the state you can find the small town of Whitehall near Lake Delmoe.

Here, a soon-to-be family of four (1-year-old daughter, a baby in July, 2 dogs and 4 cats) with the user name jstrong would like to welcome an animal-loving, experienced temporary grandma to look after little Gwendolyn for about 3 days a week.  A large room with a private bath in a spacious house in a rural setting awaits the Granny. The travelling expenses will be covered in full.

Natural Paradise in Northern Germany

Woodland, forests, heath and marshes are all to be discovered in the North German region north of the old Hanseatic city of Bremen and near the coast towns of Cuxhaven and Bremerhafen.

Here in the village of Hagen im Bremischen a doctor’s family of four (two boys 6 and 1)  plus dog and 2 cats with the user name Senta J. would love to welcome the help of an experienced, animal loving Granny Aupair, to give the mother a hand, as the father works in Paris during the week.

Both boys go to Kindergarten/Creche until 15:00 in the afternoon, so the Granny would have enough time to explore the lovely surroundings. A large room with private bath in a renovated old farm house is provided for the Granny.

Companion in beautiful Swiss Rhine Valley

Idyllic mountain streams, the picturesque Voralpsee lake and the rugged rocky landscape near the Swiss medieval town of Grabs promise unforgettable nature experiences. Grabs' local mountain is the Margelchopf, which offers a magnificent view over the Alpine Rhine Valley.

Here a family of three (17 year old son) plus dog (user name AndreaAnna) is looking for a nature loving Granny Aupair with driving license as a companion/help for the mother, for instance to give a hand with gardening. A large room with private bath is made available for the Granny. The travelling costs will be taken over in full.
