Dear Ladies,

Older people in particular are less constrained, live more impulsively and gain self-esteem, states the Austrian gerontologist and sociologist Franz Kolland in a research report. We can only confirm this - several thousand women between 45 and 80 have travelled to over 50 countries in the last 13 years and supported families and social projects there as Granny Aupairs.

Through their life experience, our Grannies have already proven themselves in many situations and are not afraid to take on new challenges.

Granny Andrea, who recently returned from the USA, wrote: "Thank you so much for letting me be part of your family's life for 3 months. I have observed and experienced a lot and we have also talked about some things that could be easier to do or where changes are needed. I had a wonderful time here, which I would not want to miss in my life. I spent wonderful hours with friends of yours and never felt like an outsider, I was part of the family as I had wished for."

In addition to Andrea, various Grannies have been and are now currently “on the road” all over the world or they will soon be travelling to a family. Below we would like to introduce you to three families from Germany and Austria who would like to welcome the support of a loving temporary grandma sooner or later. And besides these families, various other families are currently looking for a temporary grandma who can give them a helping hand. Just take a look at our online community here.

Very best wishes from

Your Michaela Hansen and your Granny Aupair-Team

Our tip:

Be sure to place engaging photos in your profile. Remember that often the whole family, including children, chooses a Granny (and vice versa). Versatile photos in different contexts (e.g. with dog, cat, own grandchildren, at sports) are certainly helpful here to get a first impression. Profiles without a photo are rarely viewed.
