Dear Ladies,

It's one of THE business buzzwords of the last few years: networking suggested to be incredibly important, otherwise you can hardly get ahead in your job. You need the right contacts, you always have to have someone on hand who is suitable for certain tasks or who can help you. Privately, this has been going on for a long time: Among friends and acquaintances people help each other as a matter of course. These are all completely normal processes for women that they would never actually call "networking".

Anyone signing up for Granny Aupair is also doing nothing else but networking: Here is the chance to connect with people you wouldn't have met without the platform - even all around the world - for mutual benefit. The Granny has good advice regarding many situations and helps out with her time, while the families bring with them the concentrated know-how of a younger generation - in addition, there is often the cultural exchange or the thrill of a new environment. The exchange is lively and fruitful and enriches both sides. Through the family or, for example, abroad in a language course, the Granny can automatically meet new people and also practise networking - without even realising it.

Poland's cultural metropolis

More than 5,000 historical monuments and cultural sites characterise Krakow in the polisch Malapolska region.  The old town, which was not destroyed in the Second World War, is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the historic buildings, there are also many museums, wonderful nature walks and a lively cultural landscape to discover.

Here in the cultural capital of Poland, a German-English family of four (user name Natascha S.) with a five-year-old daughter and one-year-old son would soon like to welcome a flexible, loving temporary grandmother with a driving licence to help out the parents (preferably for longer if you like). Both children go to nursery school until late afternoon, so the Granny would also have plenty of time to explore the wonderful city and/or take a language course.

A large room with private bathroom in a spacious house on the outskirts of the city close to nature as well as a car will be provided for the Granny. Travel costs will be covered in part.

Where the West begins 

Home to exclusive shopping, world-renowned museums, five-star dining, lush green spaces, and vibrant nightlife, the Dallas/Fort Worth Area in the US-state of Texas has a whole load to offer.

In the community of Hurst, situated between the 3 cities of Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington a recently widowed mother (user name heidiisboss) with 2 children (girl 5 and boy at the moment 10 months) plus a dog and 2 cats is looking for a loving, flexible temporary Grandma, to help the mother a bit. The children go to daycare until the late afternoon, so the Granny would have enough time to travel around the fascinating area.

A nice room (with soon a private bath)in a large house in the suburbs (and a car, if the Granny drives)  is waiting for the Granny.  Travel costs will be taken over in full.

Beautiful Swiss Rhine Valley

Situated in the Rhine Valley in the border triangle of Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein the small town of Lienz is located at the foot of a mountain range with a number of beautiful hiking trails, lovely lakes and streams being nearby.

Here a family of four (user name: Julia H.) with two girls (4 and 2) is looking forward to welcoming a loving Granny Aupair with driving license to give the parents a hand, especially in the afternoons. Both girls go to kindergarten or nursery (the younger one 3 days a week).

A big room in a large house in a rural area is available for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over completely.

Our tip:

Make lots of contact requests! If you find families you like, but their details, such as length of stay and date of arrival, do not match your expectations, then contact them anyway! Because often something has changed with the families, they have simply forgotten to change the date in their profile or they are looking for several Grannies in a row. Many things are negotiable and it doesn't cost anything to ask!
