Dear family,

With all the stress around the start of the school year, how would it be to have a few helping and experienced hands in the house?

At the moment, around 100 Grannies among others from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and the USA, are looking for a meaningful task in a nice family, for a longer period or if its only to bridge a gap.

We want to introduce you to three Grannies, who would like to start their Granny Aupair adventure soon or even a little later in the year below. You can find many more Grannies in our online community.

Cheerful and reliable: Granny Gaby

Granny Gaby (username Taiga) is especially interested in families in English-speaking countries, whom she would be happy to support as a Granny Aupair from October. The 67-year-old former travel agent loves baking, handicrafts, culture and travelling.

The sporty mother of two grown-up children is also looking forward to improving her English skills. In her profile she writes: "Childcare gives me a lot of pleasure. I would like a nice and open-minded family with 1-3 children in a smaller town."

Warmhearted and experienced: Granny Anja

As from the end of December, bilingual (English-German) Granny Anja (user name dexteruniverse) would like to help a family, preferably in English-speaking countries.

The 64-year-old former teacher and assistant at an international school in northern Germany has worked abroad several times (for example, as a in-home caregiver for teenage children of a single mother).

The animal-loving mother of adult children is very active, loves baking and cooking, gardening, singing and culture. In her profile she writes: "For a couple of years now I've been planning to go abroad as a Granny Aupair after I retire – I find great joy in working with children, spending meaningful time with them, and supporting them."

Patient and creative: Granny Brigitte

Granny Brigitte (user name: Brigitte B.) is available as a temporary Granny from the beginning of January next year. The 63-year-old former teacher for children with special needs is very fond of creativity and also enjoys reading, exercise (in nature) and music (choir) as well as baking and cooking together.

The mother of an adult daughter would also like to improve her language skills as far as possible. "I would be happy to pass on my life experience as a Granny Aupair, to take part in a different everyday family life and to help look after the children. At the same time, I am also open and curious to get involved with new things and learn myself."

Please bear in mind that our Granny Aupairs need a little more advance notice than a young au pair, because they have to arrange a lot more for their stay than a young person, where the parents mostly still look after the "house and yard".

Of course, there are also Grannies who can spontaneously drop everything to travel.

In general, however, it is advisable to look for a granny au pair in good time so that both sides have enough time to prepare.
