Newsletter Families - Having the best time with your Granny Aupair

Dear Family,

our Granny Aupair community is growing steadily – and we are very pleased about that! We have already placed several thousand Grannies in over 50 countries. Granny Aupair is a little adventure for everyone involved. The encounter offers many wonderful opportunities to learn from each other and to have a lot of fun together. In order to ensure that living together with a Granny Aupair in your family is as stress-free and harmonious as possible, we have compiled a number of useful tips for you which we have been able to gather based on our 13 years of experience.

At the moment, more than 100 Grannies from among others Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Italy, Sweden and Ecuador are looking for a meaningful task in a nice family. We would like to introduce you to three of our Grannies below.

Accomplished and open: Granny Jutta

Multilingual Granny Jutta (user name Zoe) from Austria is looking forward to helping a nice family as soon as possible, preferably in a location near the sea, but that is no must.

The 59 year old translator and language teacher worked as an au pair in Italy as a young woman and also in the embassy in Libya for a time. The animal-loving mother of an adult daughter likes cooking, crafting, music and culture among others. In her profile she states: „I'd like to meet open-minded, hearted people who share my wish to communicate on a respectful basis - in whatever language.“

Positive and helpful: Granny Heike

Granny Heike (user name Dalaman133), who was an aupair in Canada when she was young, would also like to help a nice family as a temporary grandmother or companion. The 63-year-old travel agent has many interests, including baking, cooking, music and sports.

The mother of grown-up children is looking forward to being a member of a family and accompanying them for a while. In her profile she writes: " I would be happy to find a family or individual whom I can help with my experiences and who are interested in cultural and possibly also culinary exchange. At the same time, I look forward to getting to know the unknown and delving deeper into the new culture than would be possible as a tourist.“

Experienced and committed: Granny Anna-Katarina

And a little later in the year, as from August, Granny Anna-Katarina (user name Anna-Katarina) is looking forward to an assignment as a temporary Granny.

The multilingual 65-year-old former social worker already spent five years in West Africa as a young woman. Among other things, the animal-loving mother of grown-up children counts baking, cooking, gardening, cycling and knitting among her hobbies.

In her profile she writes: "I would like to get to know new people and cultures. I would like to have the opportunity to attend a language course and also to be able to pursue leisure activities independently, so it would be good to live in or near a town or city."
