Summer ist now coming to an end, bringing the start of the daily routine for many families. The start into a new school year or nursery school isto be mastered – coupled with the whole organisatorial stress at work. This can quickly become to much. If for instance a parent then cannot pull his or her weight due to illness or professional commitments, then  the going really gets tough. 

A couple of  experienced hands in the house to give support with words and deeds would really help. Switzerland’s Sun Room

Beautiful mountains and valleys and the largest vineyard in Europe: the Upper Valais valley in French-speaking Switzerland, offers an unrivaled natural and cultural landscape. In the "sunny part of Switzerland" the small town of Visp proffers a beautiful old town, inviting garden terraces, the well-known "Pürümärt" and many leisure opportunities.

Near this shopping and entertainment location a small family (user name: Hansjörg) is urgently looking for a loving temporary Granny for one month as from the beginning of October for the 3-year son, as his Mummy is having back surgery and maybe even needs to go to a spa. A nice room with private bath is waiting for the Granny, who also should be fond of animals and have a driver's license. The travel costs will be taken over completely.

Between Mountains and Sea

Breathtaking views, with a mixture of earthy colors, aromas and the fresh sea air await the visitor in Emilia Romagna in Northern Italy. In addition you can find the longest beach in Europe at the Romagna Riviera and many lively seaside towns. Near the bustling resort of Rimini in the small town of Santarcangelo di Romagna this small family (user name: Alessandra C.) is looking forward to welcoming a Granny Aupair as from January 2017, to speak English with their 7-year old son. The small boy goes to school until 13:00, so that the Granny could visit a language course and discover the beautiful surroundings. The Granny, who should have a driving license, will be provided with a large room with private bath in a big house on the outskirts. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

English Country Life

South of London, but far away from the city’s hustle, you can find the county of Surrey. Named the leafiest county in England, Surrey has stunning hills and forests on offer. Glorious gardens, stately homes and palaces, typical English villages and much more shape this part of the UK. And if you want to spend time in the metropolis, London is just a short trip away by train.
In Bagshot, a small town in West Surrey, this family of four (User name: BrannieD) would like to welcome a reliable pet and children loving Granny as soon as possible, who also should not mind giving a  bit of hand in the household. The two children, Lila-May, 10, and Ethan, 5, go to school until the afternoon, thus the Granny would have time to attend a language course.  A nice room in a large house is made available for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

We would like to explicitly point out once again that Granny Aupair is not a job placement agency. The word "Au Pair" comes from the French word meaning "mutual". We see our initiative in this original sense. Nevertheless, irritations arise from time to time for instance regarding pocket money and work load. Now and then there are exagerrated expectations from both sides.

Board and lodging are naturally free in the families – and if you calculate 50 Euros a day for this, this means you receive an equivalent of 1,500 Euros per month! Mostly the families also participate in the travel costs or reciprocate in another way. Some Grannies deliberately refrain from receiving pocket money as this makes them feel like an employee and not like a Granny supporting the family. And what you receive is priceless anyway.

And please keep in mind that the families depend on your reliable help. Please consider this before finally accepting an offer.
