Dear Ladies,

In many countries it will not be long now until the long summer break. Families around the world are looking forward to spending a couple of free days or weeks with their children, going on trips, travelling on holiday, just relaxing and much more. Holidays are a fantastic time for children and for parents as well, if they don’t have to go to work during that time. If the leave is already used up or other commitments loom, holiday planning might become difficult.

How great it would be to have a couple of experienced hands on board to support the families in the time off school! Even if a lot of families are looking for a Granny to stay longer, many are open to a temporary solution – for instance in the holidays. A good opportunity to try out if being a Granny is the right thing for you. This week we are presenting three lovely families – this time from Belgium and England, who are looking forward to spending time with you very soon.

Waffles, chocolate and a lot of culture

The small kingdom of Belgium on the North Sea coast thrills visitors from all over the world with its delicious waffles and chocolate as well as medieval buildings and wins everyone over with its blend of dynamic cultural diversity.
In Flanders for instance, Gent, the „Manhattan of the Middle Ages“, has unique cultural treasures on offer – from the design museum to kitsch-premises up to the masterpieces by the brothers van Eyck. Here a granny-experienced small family (mother and two daughters 4 and 1) with the user name Lanzerstorfer is looking for a loving Granny Aupair as soon as possible, to give the mother a bit of support. The older girl goes to kindergarten, respectively to a child minder in the holidays. A lovely large room with private bath in a spacious house is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs are taken over completely.

Fancy a stint in Brussels? 

And in the lively multicultural capital of Brussels with its pronounced coffee- and art culture and diverse sights to see,  another granny-experienced Austrian-Turkish diplomat family (user name claudia1404) with a seven year old son is looking for a loving, fit, humorous but also sometimes assertive Granny, preferably for a longer stay. Except Wednesdays the boy is in school until 15:30 or longer so that the temporary Granny would have enough time to explore the exciting city and surroundings and/or visit at language course. A lovely room with private bath in a large house on the outskirts is made available for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Visit London! 

River Thames, Hyde Park, Westminster,  St. Pauls, Buckingham Palace – the list can be added to endlessly, as hardly any city has more sights on offer than the British capital. In addition, the surrounding towns and countryside are very easy to reach from London. Here a small family (mother, one year old son and a baby as from July) from Brockley in the  South East of London with the user name Bowen Family is looking for support from an experienced Granny Aupair as soon as possible, to give the mother a bit of help especially on weekends. The little boy goes to crèche during the week for the whole day, so that the Granny would have enough time to explore the fascinating city and surroundings. A nice room in a large house is being made available. The travel costs will be taken over in part.
