Dear family,

In former times it was often the case that several generations lived under one roof. If the parents had to go to work the grandparents supervised the children. Nowadays, it is often different unfortunately: Employees need to be more flexible in order to succeed in their job – but that this also requires adaptable child care, is a real problem, especially for single parents.

Flexible childcare can be reached with the help of a Granny Aupair: She does not only supervise your children, but replaces a family member. So you can take care of your job while you know your children are in good hands: Grannies conjure up delicious meals, help with learning, play, sing, craft and romp around with the little ones, comfort and encourage, go for walks and much more. In short, they are experienced, wise women, who know about nearly every children’s problem – from babies aching from cutting teeth to the broken hearts in teenagers.

The women who register at Granny Aupair, are taking their future into their own hands. They are just meeting their ideal image of being a Granny with another family. They have enthusiasm and knowledge of how to deal with children, and above all bring loads of time and a yen for the job with them. Full of dedication they also enable a truly flexible childcare – just as a real grandma would do. And while you as parents take care of your job reassured, you know that the Granny is there for your kids not only out of a sense of duty or for money but voluntary and wholeheartedly.

At the moment around 70 Grannies are looking for a nice family whom they can support in word and deed. For instance like the helpful Granny Jutta, who would like to travel to an English speaking country for a couple of months or experienced Granny Helga, who would love to help a non-German speaking family preferably in a warmer climate. Friendly and helpful

Granny Jutta (user name Jutta A.), who is culturally interested and sporty, whould like to travel preferably to a family in England or Ireland for about two months in the time between July and October 2016. The 73 year old former civil administrator would love to support a small family. The mother of three adult children and Granny of two grandchildren, loves engaging with children and at the moment is a temporary Granny for two year old twins. She already spent time abroad as an au pair as a young girl, and is looking forward to repeating the experience.

Experienced and open-minded

Granny Helga (user name Carlotta28) is looking forward to supporting an open and warm-hearted family from autumn 2016, preferably in a warmer climate.  As she wants to brush up her language skills she would like to go to a family, where no or hardly any German is spoken. The 67 year old former pre-school teacher and social worker has already helped in two international projects, has two grandchildren of her own and already  been a Granny Aupair. She enjoys working in the garden and at home, like cooking and organizing things as well. Her hobbies are reading, being in nature, cycling, sailing and playing piano.

• Create your profile on request following consultation (only in English or German)

• Send your search request to our newsletter subscribers (also to non-members)

• Handle the initial contact to the applicants

• Further the contact requests to you

• You decide which Granny you want to contact

• Everything further you can discuss directly and personally with the selected Grannies. As in the end the new family member has to fit in with you and not with us.

• If the chemistry and everything else is right, your temporary Granny can arrive!
