Anyone who has children and wants to have a career or even aims to be self-employed is dependent on help in order to juggle everything. There is always too little time, so you should seize the chance if a reliable person offers to help with childcare.

The great thing about a Granny Aupair is not only that you have someone on site with experience, humor and wisdom - no, even better is that the temporary Granny is living with you as a family member and not as an employee. Granny Aupair is about being together with a family in a different culture, having a responsible task and an everyday life that is more lively than before. While the young parents work, the Granny can reapply her rich wealth of experience and rediscover the world through the eyes of her charges. She can re-use the songs, the games, the stories of former times, can think up new entertainment methods, can teach again, play, comfort and cuddle. And at the same time, she also knows she is providing the young parents with a service that would not be payable with money - but certainly with a place in the hearts of little ones.

At the moment over 70 Grannies from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, but also from France, the US and South Africa are looking for a nice family whom they can lend a hand to. Many of them have already been abroad as a Granny Aupair. We introduce you to two of our ladies below.

Experienced and open-minded: Granny Monika

Granny Monika (user name monika123) has already been to various countries as a Granny Aupair and can thus fall back on a wealth of experience. The 69 year old former employee is good at languages and is eager to get to know further countries and cultures. She is looking forward to spending her time in the near future with an open and nice family as soon as possible and to shape daily life together. She would also enjoy visiting a language course in the new surroundings.

Open and warm-hearted: Granny Astrid

Granny Astrid (user name arohlfing) would love to help a family, preferably with a baby or toddler, as from September. The 66 year old former administrative employee likes reading and listening to music and also enjoys hiking and dealing with children. The grandmother of three is very interested in other countries and people and is looking forward to being a temporary Granny for another family. The family just may not have any pets, as she is allergic to pets.

TIP:

• Please keep your profile up to date. If you have found a Granny your can change the date from when your are looking for a Granny under “Profile Settings”. Your can also de-and re-activate your profile any time during your membership.
• You arrange the length of the stay individually with the Granny. Remember, however, that the Granny is on a private trip as a tourist and subject to visa requirements of your country. Mostly our Grannies wish to stay between 2 and 12 months.

• We advise you personally
• Create your profile on request following consultation (only in English or German)
• Send your search request to our newsletter subscribers (also to non-members)
• Handle the initial contact to the applicants
• Further the contact requests to you
• You decide which Granny you want to contact
• Everything further you can discuss directly and personally with the selected Grannies. As in the end the new family member has to fit in with you and not with us.
• If the chemistry and everything else is right, your temporary Granny can arrive!
