At the moment, over 30 percent of our families and grannies belong to the "repeaters". It is not uncommon for long-term friendships to develop between the temporary Grannies and "their" families. Garden City Down Under

Australia’s green capital is situated between hills and lakes. On the outskirts of Canberra in the midst of magnificent bush land lives this French-British diplomatic family (User name lambeco) with four children (a girl 13, three boys 7, 5 and 2). They are looking forward to welcoming their next energetic, reliable and caring temporary Granny from mid July, preferably for three months and maybe longer. The Granny, who should enjoy cooking, should be there for the children early in the morning and from 15:00. An own apartment with private bath in the family’s large house is waiting for the Granny, who should also have a driving license. The travel costs will be taken over completely.

Historic Germantown near Washington

And on the other side of the world the White House, the Capitol and Lincoln Memorial, as well as many interesting museums are waiting to be discovered. Near the US-Capital in the district of historic Germantown, this granny-experienced international family (user name Yuriza) is looking for their next flexible and experienced temporary Granny to support them looking after their three children (boys 8, 5 and girl 3), especially the youngest. The family has recently moved to the States from South Africa. The children go to school and kindergarten until at least 14:00, thus the Granny would have enough time to explore the fascinating surroundings. A lovely room with private bath and own entrance in the large house of the family is provided for the Granny.

Exotic Desert Country

The World’s highest tower, huge shopping malls and endless deserts: In Dubai in the United Arab Emirates you can find record-breaking architecture directly next to traditional quarters and islands built by man line the coast. This international family of four (user name mschade) is new to the Granny Aupair adventure. They are looking for a loving temporary grandmother from the beginning of January for four year old Sebastian and two year old Tobias. The older boy is in kindergarten until 14:00. A nice room in a large house in the city centre is waiting for the Granny.

As Granny Aupair, you arrive in a strange family where there are other rules than the ones you know. You should find out whether improvement suggestions are desired. You are accompanying the family only for a short time and principally should not question existing rules, even if you yourself would perhaps do things differently. Let yourself join into the family and its way of life. There is a reason why it is like it is.
