Dear Ladies,

Our Granny Aupair concept has firmly established itself – in the meanwhile over 40 percent of our families and grannies are "repeaters". Often deep, long-standing friendships develop between the temporary Grannies and "their" families. Many families have already welcomed two, three or even more Granny Aupairs to their homes and always like to make repeated use of our offer. 

Today we would like to introduce you to a family who has already had several temporary Grannies and would like to welcome another Granny Aupair as part of their family. As well as two families who are starting out into their Granny Aupair adventure!

Venice of the Alps   

Enjoy  the beautiful landscape and the cleanest lake in Europe: Annecy on the shores of crystal clear Lac d’Annecy in France and surrounded by mountains is also famous for it’s beautiful old town and canals going through it and is fondly known as the Venice of the Alps.

Here an American-French family of five (two boys, 4 years and 4 months and a girl, 2 years old), who also speak German, with the user name LafamilleW, is looking for a confident, experienced Granny Aupair from January, preferably for longer. Little Alistair and Eléonore are mostly at pre-school and daycare until late afternoon so Baby Anselm would be the Granny Aupair’ s main responsibility whilst the parents are at work (as nurse and steward). A lovely room in a house in the outskirts of the beautiful town is available for the Granny.

Land of the Rising Sun

 

Yokohama is also called the western port of Tokyo, as the first traders from the west settled there. Yokohama is the second largest city in Japan after Tokyo. It is also known for its huge China Town, which is even bigger than the one in Kobe. Nature lovers can enjoy the the beautiful Sankei-En park with its fascinating landscapes.

Here a German-Japanese family of four (username Larissa K.) with two little girls (2 years and 3 months) is looking for a flexible Granny Aupair for three months as from January, who will mainly be taking care of Baby Amori during the day until the afternoon while the parents are at work. Her 2 year old older sister is at nursery until late afternoon. Taking care of the baby does not have to be at home all the time, there is an international Baby-WhatsApp group in Tokyo/Yokohama, which often offers excursions and meetings. A nice room in an apartment on the outskirts of the city is waiting for the Granny. The travel expenses will be taken over in part.

Historic University Town

The heart of the famous historic city of Cambridge in the east of England is shaped by the university's architecturally exceptional colleges. But Cambridge also has a lot more to offer: Busy market squares, cosy tearooms, the Cambridge Fens close by and London only an hour away by train.

In the centre of the university city, an international granny-experienced family (username: mrsgarden) with a three-year-old twin couple is looking for a loving temporary grandma who also enjoys cooking and would like to teach the children some French as from mid February. The children go to nursery during the week, so the Granny would also have time for herself, for example to attend a language course.  A beautiful room with a private bathroom in a spacious house is waiting for the Granny. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

Since many of our families are of international origin, it would be helpful if you could write in English and German/or French/or Spanish in the “free text fields” in your profile – for example by writing about yourself and your hobbies. If necessary, Google or DeepL Translator can also be of help. Thus the families can get a better picture of you.

 

Becoming a Granny Aupair is totally easy – this is how it works:

·  Register  free of charge

As a subscriber to our newsletter you are already registered for free. You can log into the secure area and browse through the profiles of our families with no further obligation.

·  Become a member

As a member of Granny Aupair you can then get in contact with other members. For this purpose you just click on the “Become a member” button in our community-section and pay your membership fee easily by PayPal or bank transfer. Tip: Upon payment with PayPal your profile is activated straight away and you can contact our Families & co. immediately. 

·  Finding your way abroad

As a member of Granny Aupair you can now get in touch with the families and co. They can then also view your profile and contact you. You decide who may see your contact details. Write, phone or skype in detail with the families who are on your short list. Maybe you can also organize an introductory meeting. Get to know each other thoroughly and discuss the precise arrangements of your stay (accommodation, responsibilities and daily routine, coverage of travel costs, pocket money etc.). Is the chemistry right? Then get your things together and you’re off!
