Newsletter Grannies - Adventures far and near
Dear Reader, dear Grannies,
are you up for a new challenge? Would you like to discover distant countries and other environments, experience cultures at first hand and support a family at the same time? Then Granny Aupair is just the thing for you!
You can also have good experiences as a Granny Aupair closer to home - for example in another region of your country. Others are looking for adventure further afield.
Whether supporting a family with the daily care of the children or with an elderly relative, helping to organise everyday family life, cooking together with the family and introducing them to new recipes or teaching language skills and cultural exchange: the areas in which a Granny Aupair can help are many and varied.
Below we present three families from near and far who would like to start into their Granny experience - maybe with you as their Granny?
Are you curious? Then sign up now and join the adventure!
Very best wishes from
Your Michaela Hansen and Your Granny Aupair-Team
Historic Roman city on the Moselle River
Porta Nigra, Imperial Baths, cathedral and traces of the Romans everywhere. The historic city of Trier on the Moselle River in the wine region of south-west Germany offers countless attractions.
In the countryside near this impressive town, a granny-experienced wine-growing family of four (user name Familie Amelie) with two sons (9 and 7) plus dog would like to welcome their next, fit, nature-loving, empathic temporary grandma with a driving licence to help look after their sons, preferably for longer.
The children go to school until the afternoon, the parents often have events on the vinyard or off-site in the evenings. The Granny is provided with a large room with her own bathroom. All travelling expenses are covered.

Beautiful Bavarian Capital
Whether Mariensquare, Frauenkirche (Frauenchurch), Residence Museum or Viktualienmarket - Munich's old town alone has many sights to offer. In addition, world-class cultural highlights, top international cuisine, exclusive shopping worlds and a spectacular surrounding area with beautiful lakes, mountains and castles are to be found in or near the vicinity of the Bavarian capital. South of Munich, in the municipality of Baierbrunn, a small, granny-experienced international family with the user name Tania K. (mum and six-year-old daughter plus two older small dogs) is looking for a loving temporary grandma with a driving licence for little Juli-Yana, as the mother is often away travelling on business.
The little girl goes to the International School Munich until the afternoon, so the Granny would have time for herself to discover the beautiful surroundings and the Bavarian capital and/or visit a language course. A nice large room with its own bathroom in a spacious house in a rural setting is waiting for the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

The Heart of the States
The White House, Capitol, fascinating museums and beautiful parklands - you can discover it all in Washington D.C..
As from the the end of March/beginning of April, this small German-American family (widowed mum and 2 daughters 10 and 8) with the user name Marie Claire is looking for a French speaking Granny Aupair with a driving licence.
As the mother is away sometimes on business, the Granny would then be responsible for the children alone. The two girls go to school until the afternoon, leaving the Granny plenty of time to explore the fascinating surroundings and/or take a language course. A nice room in a house in the city centre is waiting for Granny.

15 years of Granny Aupair - 15 wonderful stories that we would like to present to you in the course of our anniversary year. Several thousand Grannies have travelled to over 50 countries and many have found lifelong friends - like Granny Barbara:
‘A truly great gift“
"I spent a total of 5 months with a super nice Turkish family in Istanbul. First for 3 months and then again for 2 months. My job was to teach German to the 5-year-old daughter. What can I say: It was such a special, very successful and intensive time for everyone involved that I can't stop enthusing about it! In my free time, I conquered this lively, historic megacity on the Bosporus.
I have had many exciting experiences and extraordinary encounters. Being able to immerse myself so intensively in a different culture is a truly great gift and I feel richly blessed by everything I was able to experience there!
The contact with my host family is still very intense even now, months after my return, and I'm sure it won't break off."
