„My host family is really nice, the children are sometimes stubborn and wild, but also loving and affectionate. The host parents are very concerned about my wellbeing and I am included in nearly all activities. I feel as if I belong not like a domestic servant. Things are a bit different here in Spain -. The children are much more in the center of things as compared to home. But it wouldn’t make sense to try and change this and come into conflict with the parents. I always say to myself that I am a guest here and have to adjust to the family’s ways and the customs of the country and not the other way round. If I am not prepared to do this I should rather stay at home. I will be travelling back home soon full of impressions and experiences.  As soon as I have arranged everything I would like to have another stint as a Granny Aupair. I can only encourage every woman to take this step, provided she is tolerant, flexible and adaptable.”
