Newsletter Familien - A New Chapter at Granny Aupair
Dear family,
A new chapter has begun at Granny Aupair. While some things are changing, much remains the same – especially what has made Granny Aupair so special for many years: bringing people of different generations and cultures together and creating encounters that go far beyond traditional childcare.
Grannies offer families more than just time and support in everyday life. They bring life experience, warmth and a sense of calm – and often a very special perspective. They can become trusted companions, cherished temporary grandmas and caring figures in children’s lives, while enriching family life with stories, ideas and fresh inspiration.
Families can benefit in many ways: through practical support in the often hectic demands of everyday life, more personal assistance and a vibrant cultural exchange – sometimes even with the added benefit of language acquisition. And for the Grannies themselves, new connections, unforgettable experiences and lasting memories can grow from these special encounters.
So, this is not a time to say goodbye. It is a time to look ahead – with new ideas, familiar values and the shared conviction that connections between generations and cultures enrich all our lives.
Maybe your „Dream Granny“ is already waiting for you on our online portal?
Sending you warm late-summer greetings,
Your Granny Aupair-Team
Our tip
- Make clear arrangements about all financial matters. In return for helping with childcare, the Granny should receive free board and lodging. Whether you would also like to offer pocket money or contribute towards her travel expenses is entirely up to you and should be agreed upon individually with your Granny Aupair.
- A Granny Aupair should not be expected to take on all the housework. However, many Grannies are happy to lend a hand with everyday household tasks. It is best to discuss expectations openly in advance, so that both sides know what awaits them.
- You’ll find many more helpful tips for host families on our website.
