Dear Ladies,

In today's fast-paced world, many families miss something that once seemed natural: the presence of grandparents. Their warmth, wisdom and understanding enrich family life in countless ways. But when grandparents live far away or are no longer with us, Granny Aupair helps bridge that gap by bringing families and temporary grandmothers together.

Living across generations offers far more than practical support. Children benefit from the life experience of older generations, discover traditions and gain a broader perspective on the world. At the same time, Grannies become part of everyday family life, sharing their knowledge, kindness and culture.

Granny Aupair is much more than a matching programme. It creates meaningful connections across generations and cultures. Families receive valuable support, while Grannies enjoy the opportunity to stay active, discover new places and experience the joy of becoming part of a family's life.

Below, we'd like to introduce two more families who would love to welcome a Granny Aupair into their home – either right away or even for next year.

Best wishes,

Your Granny Aupair-Team

Cradle of American history

Philadelphia – affectionately known as ‘Philly’ by the locals – combines American history with a vibrant, cosmopolitan atmosphere. As the birthplace of the USA, the city impresses with its historic landmarks, charming old town streets and a diverse cultural scene. At the same time, spacious parks, cosy cafés and the famous weekly markets invite you to explore and enjoy the city.

Here, a German-Macedonian doctor’s family  with two children (a son aged 4 and a daughter aged 2) and the user name LuiseH would very much like to welcome a loving, flexible, fit temporary grandma – who might also enjoy cooking – as a new member of the family. Ideally, this would be for longer than three months. Johannes and Charlotte attend nursery until 5.00 pm, though this could be changed in agreement with the Granny. Reading plays a big part in the family’s life.

The Granny will be provided with a lovely, spacious room with (almost) its own bathroom. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

Capital of the Southern French Alps

The historical French town of Gap, located in the Hautes-Alpes department in Provence is known for its cultural and natural heritage. Nicknamed the „Mellow Capital of the Southern French Alps“, the city has busy town squares, colorful buildings and great historical sites and is situated near to beautiful landscapes.

Here a small family (user name Charance) with a 4 year old son and a cat is looking for their next calm, caring and experienced temporary grandma probably from the middle of next year (or possibly later)  who maybe also likes cooking. The little boy goes to pre-school 4 days a week in the mornings and afternoons with a lunch break in between. The mother works from home a lot.

A large room with private bath in a house with garden in the city center is available for the Granny. The travelling costs will be taken over completely.

Don’t focus so much on the countries, but rather on the people you’ll be living with. The more flexible you are, the quicker you’ll be able to say: ‘I’m off then!’
