Dear Grannies,

Many of our Grannies look forward to becoming part of a family while discovering a new environment or culture. Host families, in turn, benefit from their life-experienced guests, who enrich family life with fresh perspectives and a wealth of experience.

Below, we would like to introduce you to three families who are hoping to welcome a caring new family member either soon or later in the new year.

New York, New York!

A world-famous skyline, the Statue of Liberty, Manhattan, Times Square, Broadway and much more are waiting to be discovered by you in the exciting American metropolis.

In Brooklyn, one of the famous parts of the Big Apple a small German-American journalist‘s family (Mama with nearly 6 year old daughter) and the user name nicoabe would like to welcome an experienced, reliable temporary grandma, who ideally also would help with some light housework. The mother is away sometimes on business trips and would also need help at the weekends from time to time. The little girl goes to school until late afternoon, so the Granny would have enough time to explore the exciting city.

A lovely room in a large apartment in the city center will be provided.The travelling expenses are covered in part.

Germany's vibrant capital 

This exciting international metropolis is known for its cultural flair and is home to world-class museums and three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as trendy neighbourhoods, unique shopping streets and green oases. Berlin's diverse art scene includes hundreds of galleries and events.

In the north-eastern Berlin district of Pankow, a family of musicians (user name Johanna_Berlin) with a 15-year-old son and a baby due in December, is looking for a culturally interested, baby-experienced temporary grandmother who will mainly support the mother when the father is on concert tour or accompany the family on concert trips.

The family lives in a large flat. A hotel room or guest room nearby would be provided for the Granny during her times in Berlin, and a hotel room would naturally also be provided during concert tours. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

Mountains and Nature in Switzerland 

Stunning Jura mountains and meadows, lush woodland and picturesque castles: The Swiss canton of Soluthurn is a perfect starting point to discover the famous Swiss sights. Situated between the first and second Jura mountain chain, the small municipality of Holderbank is nestled in a wooded region.

Here a Spanish-Swiss couple (user name gabryelle) would love to welcome a flexible, open Granny Aupair, who also might like to cook as a companion, for going on walks, conversation, cooking and maybe travelling.

A nice room in a big apartment in a rural area is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in full.
