January 29th sees the start of the Chinese New Year with the ‘Year of the Snake’. Around the world, Chinese people celebrate the beginning of the special Year of the Wood Snake, which only comes around every 60 years. This year, the wisdom of the snake coupled with the flexibility of wood is the perfect pairing for your personal fulfilment. According to the Chinese horoscope, you should use this special year to make careful plans and still allow for innovation. However, it is important that we always keep an eye on personal growth and spiritual development.  

By being a Granny Aupair, you can put your resolution to be innovative and continue your personal development into practice - whether it's discovering new countries and cultures, becoming part of another family and simply being in a different environment. The Year of the Wood Snake is all about learning to celebrate long-term successes and focussing on your needs.

Cosmopolitan city on the Canadian Pacific

Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada, is one of the most beautiful cities on the Pacific and is also characterised by its multicultural population. Vancouver is also the third most important location for the film industry after Los Angeles and New York and is therefore also known as ‘Hollywood North’. As the third largest city in Canada, the metropolis has an almost unlimited and varied range of sights, museums and other attractions.

As from April a German-English speaking doctors‘ family of four (girl 3 and boy, 2) with the user name Rosigap would like to welcome their next trustworthy, experienced temporary grandma with a driving licence to give the parents a helping hand. Mercedes and Cyprian go to kindergarten until 16:30 so the Granny would have enough time to explore the fascinating surroundings or visit a language course.  The Granny can expect a large room with en-suite bathroom in a big house in the city centre. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Natural Paradise in Southern Austria

Spicy-clear alpine air, bathing lakes with drinking water quality, situated in between extensive hiking trails and bike trails - the Villach region in the heart of Carinthia in southern Austria  is a natural paradise in every season. The town of Villach with picturesque pedestrian zones and cafés forms the heart of the region.

Here a granny-experienced small family of three (mum and two children girl 15, boy 12 plus Bernese dog Sunny) with the user name dine is looking for their next animal-loving temporary grandma with a driver's licence as from March  to help mum out a bit, especially with dog care. The two children go to international (Englishspeaking) school until the afternoon, so the Granny would also have time to explore the beautiful surroundings. 

An own small flat with a terrace in the same house as the family’s apartment on the outskirts of the town is available for the Granny. The travel costs will be covered in part.

                                         „Made close friendships“

„My hopes and expectations for my stay in Malaysia were more than fulfilled. In addition to the way of life of ‘my’ cosmopolitan little family, I got to know many new people, made close friends, participated in social projects, took part in religious events and provided direct help to poor people."  Isa was also involved in a social project in Cambodia, which was also arranged by Granny Aupair:  Her help was needed as a volunteer to teach English.
