Today we would like to give you a few tips to ensure that your expectations of being a Granny Aupair are fully met.

The family profiles already provide a lot of information. If you don't want so much hustle and bustle, then a family with three small children and possibly pets is probably not for you. It's better to look for families with one (older) child.

Are you able to keep yourself busy on your own (important if the family lives further away from town or in the countryside) or do you prefer a lively environment? Do you prefer city or country life or do you simply want to try something completely new? These things are also part of the decision-making process.

It is very important to discuss them in advance. Before you finally decide on a family, talk about your working hours, free time, any pocket money and other things that are important to you. The better informed you are when you start your Granny Au Pair life, the better protected you are against unpleasant surprises.

Multicultural North-Netherlands 

Exciting Amsterdam, the cheese towns of Alkmaar and Edam, the traditional fishing village of Volendam, plus the beautiful beaches and dunes of Zandvoort: all this and more awaits you in the North of the Netherlands.

In the small town of Heemsteede in the international metropolitan area of Amsterdam, a French-Dutch hotelier family of four (boy 4 and girl 2) with the user name Sarahdw would soon like to welcome a caring, experienced, positive-minded Granny Aupair with a driving licence - especially to help look after the little girl. The boy goes to pre-school three days a week until the afternoon and two days until midday, the little girl is at nursery three days full-time (four days from October).

The Granny will be provided with a nice room with her own bathroom in a large flat in a rural area. Travelling expenses will be covered in part.

Riverside Town South West of London

The tranquil riverside town of Richmond on Thames, only 20 minutes by the Underground train from central London, boasts historic pubs, independent shops, historic houses and an enormous park plus the world famous Kew Gardens nearby.

Here a grannyexperienced family of four with two girls (5 and 1) and the user name LucyM274 is looking forward to welcoming their next reliable and flexible temporary Granny. The older girl goes to school until the afternoon, the younger on is still at home.

A lovely room with private bath in a large house in the outskirts is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Germany’s exciting capital  

Vibrant culture, cutting-edge architecture, fabulous food, and tangible history – you can experience all this and more in Germany’s thrilling capital of Berlin.

Here a single mother with one 13 year old daughter and user name ChrisBal is looking for an experienced loving temporary Granny as from September 1st for a couple of months. The mother, who is a film director will be filming in Italy during that time, but will be also in Berlin some of the time. Also the Granny and daughter can join the mother in Italy during the school holidays in October.

The Granny would be provided with an own flat directly next to the family’s flat in the exciting center district „Berlin Mitte“. The travel costs will be taken over completely.

As long as the families' profiles are visible, you can contact them, even if their details appear to be out of date. If you find families interesting but their details, such as length of stay and arrival date, do not match your expectations, we recommend that you contact them anyway. Members are often looking for several Grannies in a row. Many things are negotiable and it costs nothing to ask!
