Dear Ladies,

Everyone knows it: our inner – weaker – self who prefers to lie on the couch in a comfortable position with the remote control in a hand. Everybody often has excuses for not doing something. In addition, you can often find „badmouthers“ that put down your plans to do something new.

It's not easy to throw feelings of guilt and duty, values and conflicts overboard and to become aware of one's dreams and needs and to live them. If you want to change old habits, you have to actively do something about it.

But if you manage to overcome your own and others' misgivings and leave your own comfort zone, you have already taken a good step towards becoming a Granny Aupair. So what about your times a-changin‘?

Many of our families from near and far would like to welcome a loving temporary grandmother as a new family member soon or even next year, who can enrich the family's everyday life with her life experience. We are introducing you to two of them below. You can find more families from all over the world on our online community.

Natural paradise in the south of Austria

Spicy-clear alpine air, beautiful lakes with drinking water quality, extensive hiking  and bike trails - the Villach region in the heart of the south western Austrian province of Carinthia is a natural paradise in every season. The town of Villach with its picturesque pedestrian zones and cafés is the heart of the region.

Here, a small family of three (mum and two children, girl 13, boy 10, plus a  Bernese mountain dog Sunny) with the user name dine is looking for an animal-loving temporary grandma with a driving licence to help the mother out a bit, especially also with caring for the dog. The two children go to an Englishspeaking school until the afternoon, so the Granny would also have time to explore the beautiful surroundings. A large private area with its own bathroom is awaiting the Granny in a large flat on the outskirts of the city. Travel costs will be covered in part.

The White House, the Capitol, exciting museums and beautiful parklands - you can discover it all in Washington D.C..

In the thrilling Amercian capital a small family  - Mother and 3 year old daughter (plus cat) with the user name Erin_Harbaugh is looking for a loving, flexible Granny Aupair/Companion for the mother with a driving licence as from May 15th or a bit later. The little girl will be going to pre-kindergarten as from August, but at the moment is still at home. A separate living space in a large townhouse in the city centre is available for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in full.

Our Tip:

Don't be put off if the arrival date in the family profiles is in the past! Some families simply "forget" to change their profile date (which can also happen with Grannies), but are still urgently looking for a Granny. Just send a contact request to the families you are interested in.

And please remember, the families depend on your reliable help. Therefore, think carefully before finally comitting to a placement.
