Dear Ladies,

Do you also feel like experiencing something new in the course of the year? Maybe in a different environment with a different family? And possibly even this year? Many studies show that an active new life with and for other people, combined with regular exercise and good nutrition, are the best prerequisites for a healthy third phase of life. As: Our lifestyle and our attitude to life also have a strong influence on how healthy we remain, whether we are 30, 50 or 70 years old...

If you want to put these resolutions into practice soon: Our families would like to welcome a loving temporary grandmother as a new family member who can enrich everyday family life with her life experience soon or later in the year.  We are introducing two of them below.

Baroque town near the Black Forest

With its baroque facades set against the backdrop of the Black Forest, the town of Offenburg lies idyllically between vineyards in the east and orchards in the southwest. Only 20 kilometres from Strasbourg, the Ortenau region is considered one of the sunniest in the area. Here, a Swiss family of three (mum and two sons 6 and 7) with the username Brigitte is looking for a Granny rich in life experience who also likes to be outdoors,  to support them from mid-August.  

The family is preparing to move from Switzerland to Offenburg and is currently looking for a house/flat. From September, both boys will go to school, until midday and on two days until the afternoon. The Granny should be willing to take full responsibility for childcare 1-2 days/nights per week when mum is out of the house due to work. The travel expenses will be partially covered. In her profile, the mum writes: "The Granny must be ready to embark on the adventure 'Swiss family migrates to Germany'! The Granny should be able to keep herself busy indoors and outdoors and be happy to spend screen-free time with the children when they are off school."

Bavarian Venice

In the Bavarian town of Passau on the three rivers Danube, Inn and Ilz, history and culture, art and experience come together. The wonderful old borough with its winding streets has an unmistakable atmosphere that makes Passau so beautiful. There are many cultural and historical highlights to be discovered in the "Venice of Bavaria" right on the Austrian border in Lower Bavaria.

Here, a doctor’s family of four (username Sabine U.) with two little boys (3 and 2) and a cat would like to welcome an experienced, loving substitute grandma with driving licence soon to to give them a hand in looking after the two little ones. The two boys go to nursery until 2pm, so the Granny would also have plenty of time to herself. The Granny will be provided with a large private area with her own bathroom in a large house on the outskirts of town.
