Dear Ladies,

The role of grandparents in the family is not to be underestimated: they support, cover absences, help, educate and are always at your side with help and advice. They are often much loved by the children, and the parents rely on them. But job requirements or just life itself often ensure that the grandparents live too far away – sometimes even in another country – or cannot be there (anymore) due to other reasons, so many families would be glad of some support by an experienced pair of hands. 
 
And in return as a Granny Aupair you have the unique opportunity to experience the way of life of a foreign country and learn its language in return for free board and lodging. Gain intimate insights into the soul of a culture which are denied to a “normal” tourist. There are so many good reasons to take this step!

The Heart of the States 

The White House, the Capitol, exciting museums and beautiful park landscapes – you can discover all this in Washington D.C.. In the exciting American capital a small granny-experienced family (user name mlsolo85) with a baby girl is looking for their next loving, flexible, fit Granny as from mid-October. 

The mother works shifts as a doctor in a hospital, and since the father works abroad, she is looking forward to support and company. She would also be happy to show Granny the surroundings. A nice room in an apartment in the centre will be made available for the Granny. Travel expenses will be taken over in part.

Fascinating Egypt 

Timeless historical treasures, seductive bazaars and romantic Nile cruises: As a city of contrasts, Cairo combines the sights of an ancient city with the advantages of a vibrant modern metropolis and is an ideal place to discover Egypt's culture and history. The famous Cheops Pyramid and the pyramids of Giza are also not far away. 

Here a family of four (username DEnayeit) with two sons (6 and 2) is looking for an experienced, responsible and loving Granny who can also speak good English and maybe a bit of German to help the parents as soon as possible. Ahmed and Gamal visit the European School and the German Kindergarten respectively, so the Granny will have enough time to explore the exotic surroundings or take a language course. A beautiful room in a large apartment is waiting for the Granny.

We would like to remind you to keep your profile up to date. We often receive queries from families who are surprised that the Granny profiles show past arrival dates (which of course also happens with the families’ profiles). If, for example, you have found a family or your plans have changed, please also change your possible arrival date in the profile. Alternatively, you can deactivate and reactivate your profile at any time during your membership. Please also let us know briefly by e-mail or telephone which family you are going to and when.

 

Becoming a Granny Aupair is totally easy – this is how it works:

·  Register  free of charge

As a subscriber to our newsletter you are already registered for free. You can log into the secure area and browse through the profiles of our families with no further obligation.

·  Become a member

As a member of Granny Aupair you can then get in contact with other members. For this purpose you just click on the “Become a member” button in our community-section and pay your membership fee easily by PayPal or bank transfer. Tip: Upon payment with PayPal your profile is activated straight away and you can contact our Families & co. immediately. 

·  Finding your way abroad

As a member of Granny Aupair you can now get in touch with the families and co. They can then also view your profile and contact you. You decide who may see your contact details. Write, phone or skype in detail with the families who are on your short list. Maybe you can also organize an introductory meeting. Get to know each other thoroughly and discuss the precise arrangements of your stay (accommodation, responsibilities and daily routine, coverage of travel costs, pocket money etc.). Is the chemistry right? Then get your things together and you’re off!
