Many parents who want to continue their careers or even start their own business face a major challenge: they need loving, reliable support to balance family and work. And this is where you, as a Granny, can make a wonderful difference!

As a Granny Aupair, you are far more than a caregiver – you become part of the family. You bring experience, calm, humour and warmth, enriching everyday family life in ways that are truly priceless. While the parents are at work, you can put your life experience to new use: playing with the children, comforting them, telling stories, and discovering the world anew through their eyes. There are also families who are looking for an adult companion who can offer support in everyday life.

In the heart of the 'Mountain State'

The US state of West Virginia – also known as the Mountain State – is located in the Appalachian Mountains and offers a variety of national parks and forests, making it a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. There are also many historical sites, beautiful shopping districts with locally made crafts, and farms serving fresh regional cuisine to discover.

In the small town of Falling Waters on the Potomac River north of Washington D.C., a family of four with an adult (19) plus a four-year-old son, a dog and a cat, and the user name ashleyb, would like to welcome a flexible, warm-hearted, experienced temporary grandma as a new member of their family. The little boy does not go to nursery yet.

A large room with an adjoining small living room in a spacious house in a rural setting awaits the Granny. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

Music, art and culture: on tour through Vienna, Berlin and Munich

Prater, Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral – the list of attractions in Austria's wonderful capital city is long. Whether it's music, culture, shopping or culinary delights – Vienna has something for everyone.

As soon as possible this small family (opera singer mother and 1 year old son) with the user name VeraLotte, is looking for a loving, toddler-experienced temporary grandmother, who can help out the mother, and accompany her to rehearsals and on tour.

As from January the family will be spending 2,5 months in Berlin and then in Munich. Little Gustav is still at home. In Vienna, a small flat in the city centre will be provided, while in other cities, for example, a spacious Airbnb would be rented. Travel expenses will be covered in full.

It is important that the relationship is based on mutual trust rather than a formal employment contract. The host family and the temporary grandmother decide together which tasks are needed.

When getting to know each other for the first time on the portal, you should therefore communicate your expectations clearly. If anything is unclear — for example working hours, specific tasks, or the daily routine — don’t hesitate to ask precise questions.
