Dear Reader, dear Grannies,

Our Granny Aupair concept is now well established - over 50 percent of our families and Grannies are now ‘repeaters’. We have Grannies who have already travelled a dozen times. It is not uncommon for real, long-term friendships to develop between the temporary grandmas and ‘their’ families. Many families have already welcomed two, three or even more temporary grannies into their homes and are always happy to use our offer.

Both sides benefit from our community: the Granny has good advice for many situations and helps out with her time, while the families bring with them the concentrated expertise of a younger generation and show the Granny life in a different environment or culture. The exchange is lively and fruitful and enriches both sides.

Today we would like to introduce you to two families who have already had a Granny Aupair with them on one or more occasions and would like to welcome a temporary grandma as part of the family again soon. Canada: On the St Lawrence River  

More than a thousand green islands are located on the St Lawrence River with its picturesque landscape and beautiful historic villages on its banks waiting to be discovered. In the Canadian province of Ontario, between the famous river and the capital of Ottawa, you can find the small town of Kemptville.

A granny-experienced family of four (username Jenn Rory) with two sons (12 and 2) and a cat are looking for their next loving, caring temporary grandma to help the mother, who has some health problems, preferably from the beginning of next year or later. It would be nice if the Granny is also interested in gardening or cooking. The older son goes to school until the afternoon, the little one is still at home.

A lovely room in a spacious house with a pool and hot tub in a rural setting awaits the Granny. The travel costs will be covered in part.

Idyllic heart of England 

Lush green hills, enchantingly beautiful gardens, old castles, imposing stately homes and dreamy villages with quaint pubs. All this awaits you in the Cotswolds, often called the idyllic heart of England. The beautiful region stretches across six counties in southwest England.

In County Gloucester in the beautiful hamlet of Church Westcote, which is close to several lovely towns, a small granny-experienced family (mum and two daughters, 16 and 15 and two dogs) with the username MumKate would like to welcome their next dog loving temporary granny with a driving licence who also doesn’t mind cooking sometimes as a new family member from Februar to April 2025.

Normally the girls go to school until later in the afternoon, in the holidays Granny would have be there a bit more while Mum works. The Granny will be offered a nice big room in a spacious house in a beautiful rural setting. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Space City in South-west Texas   

Beautiful art, cultural diversity, unique restaurants and naturally lots about space travel: All this is on offer in the fourth largest city in the USA, Houston in Texas. The metropolis, also called The Big H or Space City, is located on the south coast of the state at Galveston Bay.

In the town of Woodland Hills in the north of the metropolis a small family  (mum with 5 year old daughter and dog) with the user name Linda26 is looking for a flexible, loving Granny Aupair with driving license and who maybe also likes to cook to give the mother some support.

The little girl is in kindergarten until  the afternoon so the Granny would have enough time to explore the exciting surroundings and/or attend a language course. A nice room with private bath in a house in the suburbs is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be covered completely.

Our tips:

As long as the families' profiles are visible, you can contact them, even if their details appear to be out of date. If you find families interesting but their specifics, such as length of stay and arrival date, do not match your expectations, we recommend that you contact them anyway. Members are often looking for several grannies in succession. Many things are negotiable and it costs nothing to ask!
