The baby boomer generation, born between 1946 and 1964, has shaped the world in so many ways and is still full of adventure and drive. Many of you belong to this generation with a wealth of skills and experiences that make you the perfect Granny Aupairs.

With this treasure of life and work experience, baby boomers are well prepared to support young families in various life situations. They have been through so much and can offer first-hand advice and help that really makes a difference.

Many baby boomers are now retired or have ended their careers. This gives them the freedom to experience new adventures and discover the world. Whether you want to go abroad for a few weeks or several months – helping a family or in a social project – Granny Aupair offers a whole lot of exciting opportunities.

USA: Pacific North West

Mountains, the Pacific Ocean and breathtaking scenery - Tacoma, on Washington State's Puget Sound and near Seattle, is often referred to as the gateway to majestic Mount Rainier.

Near this friendly metropolis, a grannyexperienced family of four (username Nivens4) with two children (boy 7 and girl 2) plus dogs are looking forward to their next experienced, reliable temporary grandma with a driving licence, who maybe even speaks Spanish or Russian.

The little boy goes to school until about 15:30. As the family has just moved to the west coast, help with ‘settling in’ would be welcome, especially as dad is travelling a lot for work. A nice room in a house in a rural area is waiting for the Granny. All travelling expenses will be covered.

Flower Power City 

And a bit further along the exciting West Coast of the USA, natural landmarks and the Golden Gate Bridge, as well as all the other fantastic sights that San Francisco has to offer, are waiting for you!

Here in this fascinating Californian city, a granny-experienced American-Irish family of four (username JulieOD) with two daughters (aged 6 and 2) are looking for their next open and spontaneous Granny Aupair . Two older children, who do not live at home, are also part of the family. Little Molly goes to school until the afternoon, so the Granny would also have time to discover the exciting neighbourhood and/or take a language course.

Don't be put off if the arrival date in the profiles of some families is in the past! Some families simply ‘forget’ to change their profile date (which can also happen with the Grannies), but are still urgently looking for a Granny. Just write to the families you are interested in.
