Dear Ladies,

Having a few experienced hands in the house to support you - that's something almost every young family would welcome. Especially if they have just moved to a new environment, maybe even to a new country, or if they have just had a baby or one of the parents has to work in another city.

As a Granny Aupair, you bring a bit of order back into the sometimes stressful everyday life of young families with your life experience and energy. They catch up on what working parents often cannot do in the daily grind: They play, paint, bake or sing with the children. The Granny takes the children to school or kindergarten and helps with homework. As a loving temporary grandma, you share the joys of everyday life with your protégés and are the competent contact person for all the little worries and needs of the offspring (and sometimes also for those of the host parents).

If you, too would like to embark on a new path and start an adventure this or perhaps next year then take a look at the many families from near and far who would like the support of a Granny Aupair in the near future or even a little later. We would like to briefly introduce three of them below.

Best regards

Your Michaela Hansen and your Granny Aupair-Team

Country of Lochs and Glens

Grouped around a castle and an old medieval town, Stirling in central Scotland is well worth discovering. Situated on the river Forth between the High- and Lowlands, the historic city is the ideal starting point to explore Scotland.

As from April a multilingual Bulgarian-British family of four (user name Heather) with girl, 13 and boy, 9, plus cat would love to welcome a Frenchspeaking Granny Aupair, who also likes cooking, as a new member of the family. The mother speaks French fluently and would like the Granny to support the daughter in speaking French. Both children go to school until the afternoon, so the Granny would have time to visit the lovely surroundings and/or visit a language course. A large room in a big house on the outskirts is awaiting the Granny. The travel costs will be covered in part.

Large Family Life on the American East Coast

Surrounded by water, located between Baltimore and Philadelphia, the small town of Elkton sits on the banks of the Elk River on the edge of the Chesapeak Bay on the Maryland/Delaware border.

Here, a family of seven (username SNACKS4069) with three girls (15, six and three) and two boys (six and one) as well as a dog and cat, is looking for an experienced Granny Aupair with a driving licence who also enjoys cooking and is used to a little hustle and bustle. Dad often works in other cities, so the mother would appreciate some support. The three older children go to school until the afternoon. A nice room in a big house in a rural area is provided for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over completely.

Our Tip:

If you cannot travel flexibly but only from a certain date, please enter this in your profile. (instead of flexible). Before you definitely accept a placement with a family, make sure you have talked about everything beforehand and are sure you want to undertake the commitment.  The families are relying on you.
