Newsletter Grannies - Grandparents (and grandchildren) sorely missed

Dear Reader, dear Grannies,

Many of our families have to manage without grandparents, but would love to be able to draw on the experience of the "older generation". And on the other hand, many women in their prime long for grandchildren, but these have not yet materialised or are already grown up. Granny Aupair can fill this gap:

Children who are looked after by temporary grandparents build up a relationship with them comparable to that with "normal" grandparents. And our temporary Grannies also often feel very close to the families, with longterm friendships frequently arising.

In return, as a Granny Aupair you have the unique opportunity to explore the way of life in a foreign environment or different surroundings - and possibly learn another language. There are so many good reasons to take the plunge!

Take advantage of this opportunity by seizing a new challenge and be a temporary grandmother in young families. Today we are introducing you to two families from the Alpine region who would welcome the support of a lovely temporary grandmother soon.
You can find many other family profiles from around the world on our online community.

Very best wishes from

Your Michaela Hansen and your Granny Aupair-Team

Idyllic Countryside in Upper Austria

Surrounded by the picturesque Salzach river and the Weilhartsforst forest, the small rural community of St.Radegund with its beautiful hiking and cycling trails lies near the German border. The historic German town of Burghausen is 10 minutes away by car.

In St. Radegund, a small family with a 2-year-old son (user name Romana W) plus 3 cats and chickens are looking for a loving, flexible temporary Granny with a driving licence for little Arik. The little boy is still at home at the moment, but will start kindergarten in November. A large room with its own bathroom in a converted old schoolhouse on the edge of a nature reserve will be made available to the Granny. The travelling expenses will be covered in part.

Beautiful Bavarian Alpine Landscape

The landscape in the Bavarian region of Allgäu has gently rolling hills, enchanting flowering meadows and panoramic views of snowcapped Alpine mountains nearby.

In the charming village of Ofterschwang, one of the so-called „Horn villages“ in the sunny Illertal a small family of three (user name
AntoniaG) with a 1 year old daughter would love to welcome an experienced, fit, nature-loving Granny Aupair with driving license, to give the mother, who wants to start working from home again, a hand.

A lovely big room with private bath in a large apartment in a rural area is waiting for the Granny. The travel costs will be taken over in part.

Please check whether the date in your profile from which you can travel is correct. If you write "Flexible", the families will assume that you can travel quite spontaneously and will then be irritated if you have already found a family or can only travel at a much later date.
