Newsletter Grannies - Our brain loves NEW things

Dear Ladies,

Have you already made plans for the new year? Or have you made New Year resolutions you really want to set in motion in 2017? Maybe to travel abroad as a Granny Aupair at last? Then you’ve probably already noticed some excitement arising.. Neurophysiologists have in fact shown that our brains love NEW things. It reacts to fresh stimuli with a small storm of enthuisasm.

The neurobiologist Gerald Huether refers to NEW things as "watering can of joy". The daily routine constricts our mental apparatus like a straitjacket. And yet our brain is constantly able to re-interconnect up to the end of our life and to create new paths with learning experiences. He passionately appeals to us: “Anything that helps people, that invites, encourages and inspires them to have a new and different experience than before, is good for the brain, for one’s own development potential and thus good for the community."

Break from your routine. Move out of  your comfort zone. Gain new impulses from encounters with strangers - new families and social projects are waiting for you! Take new paths, which will set free creativity and make you happy. Below we introduce you to three of our long list of families, the family from Spain is looking for a Granny quite urgently.

In this sense, we wish you all the best and a bit of courage to take new paths in the new year!
